SEAN ARDOIN EARNS FIFTH GRAMMY NOMINATION WITH 2025 NOD FOR "25: BACK TO MY ROOTS"

Pioneering Kreole Rock and Soul Artist Reaches New Heights

Nashville, TN (Nov. 14, 2024) – Renowned singer, songwriter, and producer Sean Ardoin is proud to announce his nomination for the 2025 GRAMMY Awards in the Best Regional Roots Music Album category for his groundbreaking album 25: Back To My Roots.

Released earlier this year on Zydekool Records, the album celebrates a momentous milestone — Ardoin’s 25th anniversary as a solo artist. This also marks his fifth career GRAMMY nomination. Produced, written, and performed by Ardoin and his band, 25: Back To My Roots blends his signature Kreole Rock and Soul style with the rich cultural influences of Louisiana's Zydeco and Creole traditions.

"It’s an honor to be recognized by my peers in the Recording Academy," says Ardoin. "This album is a reflection of my journey, my heritage, and the creative evolution of my sound. To see that it resonates with so many people is deeply humbling."

Since launching his solo career in 1999, Ardoin has released 27 albums and earned four previous GRAMMY nominations. His pioneering fusion of Zydeco with rock, soul, and R&B has garnered him an international following. His music has transcended cultural boundaries, bringing Zydeco to global audiences in the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, Japan, Australia, Brazil, and beyond.

Ardoin is currently at work on his next album, set for release in 2025, continuing to push the boundaries of his innovative Kreole Rock & Soul sound.

ABOUT SEAN ARDOIN

A multi-GRAMMY-nominated artist, Sean Ardoin is a celebrated musician and cultural innovator deeply rooted in Louisiana’s Creole heritage. An ancestor of Creole pioneers Amedee’ Ardoin and Bois Sec Ardoin, Sean has crafted his own sound, which he calls Kreole Rock & Soul—an electrifying blend of traditional Zydeco rhythms and modern rock and soul influences. This unique genre allows Ardoin to express his artistry without the constraints of the traditional Zydeco idiom.

Ardoin's innovative work has taken him to prominent platforms, including Good Morning America, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, NCIS: New Orleans, Queen Sugar, Southern Charm New Orleans, and Interview with a Vampire. His dynamic performances have also graced iconic stages such as Carnegie Hall, and he performed before half a million people at the National Mall’s July 4th celebration in Washington, D.C. and at the 2024 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.

His music has been featured in films, commercials, and TV shows, and he is the host of the Cannes award-winning travel documentary Amplify Louisiana. Ardoin has also launched his own Kreole Rock & Soul Coffee line, which channels the rhythms of Zydeco into a unique sensory experience.
